ST. PETER' S Mission & OUTREACH

Local Outreach seeks to support local individuals and families in crises who need assistance. St. Peter’s Annual Art Show in July is the principal fundraiser for Local Outreach support. Click here to read more about the Art Show.

Global Outreach responds to situations and events around the world. The Mission and Outreach Committee is committed to engaging lay leadership in both 'hands on' action as well as financial support for communities in need and/or organizations that provide help for those in need. Our goal is to send out the caring spirit of our St. Peter's family both locally and globally to relieve suffering and promote justice. We welcome everyone whose heart is moved by those in need due to poverty, disaster, disease, warfare, and other hardships to join us in these efforts; contact our chair, Michelle Norelli

  • Food PAntry

St. Peter's is a member of LRAC [Lewes-Rehoboth Area Churches] and collects food for Community Resource Center's Food Pantry. The food basket is located in the Narthex.

  • Little Cupboard

    Community Pantry

The Little Cupboard is a sustainable program for feeding children and families of our local and larger communities. Little Cupboard volunteers, with donations and financial support, work hard to help ease some of the hunger faced by those in our little part of the world. Through this ministry, hunger and poverty in our community is addressed each and every day. The Little Cupboard, located just outside the Church gate by the labyrinth, contains a variety of nourishing, non-perishable food items for those in our larger community experiencing food insecurity.

  • Blessing Bags

Each year, St. Peter’s collects donations of toiletries and other personal care items in the Parish Hall. While this drive has traditionally taken place in the fall, we are excited to move it to the Sunday after Easter, embracing the new season of spring.

Our Godly Play and Youth Group join together to pack these donations, which are then presented for a blessing during the 10:15 a.m. service.

These thoughtful gifts are shared with the Community Resource Center, Primeros Pasos, and the Little Cupboard, helping our neighbors in need and reminding us that even small acts of care can make a big difference.

Donations may include shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, and other personal essentials. Thank you for your generosity and support in sharing God’s love through simple, everyday kindness.
