fAMILY & Volunteers

A few years back, The Vestry of St. Peter's really made it a priority to focus on Youth and Children's Christian Formation. Jessica Potter, the Director of Family Ministries and Communication, plays a key role in developing and coordinating comprehensive education and spiritual programming for the parish. We want to create a community where people of all ages can come together – from toddlers to adults – and where the youth feel like a valued part of our church services. Our goal is to bring different parts of our congregation together and create a strong sense of community throughout St. Peter's Square.

At St. Peter's, we have many opportunities for children, youth, and their families to get involved, such as serving as Acolytes, Lay Readers, Ushers, or volunteering as Godly Play Storytellers and Greeters. If your child is interested in any of these activities, please feel free to email or call Jessica Potter for more information.

VOLUNTEERS & FAMILIES

Families and Volunteers,

Happy August! As summer winds down, we’re already planning our yearly schedule for Godly Play.

Starting Sunday, September 21, the 10:00 a.m. service will move to 10:15 a.m. This extra time will ease the overlap between the 8:00 a.m. service and choir rehearsal, giving everyone more breathing room.

Godly Play returns September 28th and also shift from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., aligning better with the 10:15 service. This change allows kids to join their families at the Peace and receive Communion together, and gives families a little more time in the morning.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

Safe Church:

The safety of our Families and Volunteers is very important to us at Saint Peter’s. If you have not completed your safe church training please do so as soon as possible. You can turn your certificates into the office upon completion. Safe Church is exclusively offered online through the Diocese. Online training is offered for anyone, as well as those who need to renew their certification.

We are going to have a great year!

Blessings,

Jessica Potter
