50th Anniversary of Annual Art Show

was held  on Saturday, July 2, 2016

Hosted in charming coastal Lewes, Delaware (“The First Town in the First State"), St. Peter's Art Show has been a summertime highlight at the Delaware beaches since 1966. The show occurs on the first Saturday of July each year, drawing over 140 fine artists and fine craftspeople from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Wonderful paintings and photographs, exquisite jewelry, masterful carvings, beautiful ceramics and mixed media creations and much more can be found in the exhibitors’ booths that surround St. Peter’s Square. The artists and craftspeople also donate works to the show’s raffle and silent auction in order to raise even more funds for deserving charities.

GREAT ART SERVING GREAT CHARITIES SINCE 1966!

This year, our Annual Art Show was held on Saturday, July 2nd. We were blessed with fabulous  weather again as we celebrated 50 years of sponsoring our well-loved event!

BENEFICIARIES:

The proceeds of our Art Show benefits Local Community Outreach, serving families directly regardless of age, sex, race, religion, color, marital status, familial status, creed, national origin or disability.

In addition to the art, guests of the show enjoy a modestly-priced luncheon. For children's entertainment, face painting has been popular and is typically provided.

All this set in Lewes’ quaint downtown with an array of specialty shops and restaurants to boot! The event is free and open to the public, so come rain, come shine, come one, come all: It’s a must-attend event for the Cape region!

Sponsored by St. Peter's Episcopal Church for the benefit of those in need.

PARK: In addition to metered, on-street parking, public lots are available on Third Street and Front Street; (note: the streets around St. Peter's Square are largely closed for the duration of the event). Overflow parking is available at the Lewes Presbyterian Church on Kings Highway and Franklin Avenue, Bethel United Methodist Church on 4th & Market Streets and at the Cape Henlopen Ninth Grade Campus and Shields Elementary School on Savannah Road. Prudential Gallo Realtors is providing free shuttle service from the school parking lots to the show at Third and Market Streets from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

ECW ART SHOW RAFFLE

The Art Show Raffle is one of the primary ways ECW [Episcopal Church Women] raises funds to support our local charities and outreach programs. Four of our most popular exhibitors have generously donated valuable creations of art for our raffle. The drawings will be held on Saturday, July 1.  Watch for information coming soon!.
