parish life at st. peter's

St. Peter's is a very active church and the success of our parish events are the result of the efforts and participation of many wonderful volunteers.

Volunteers are always welcome at all parish events. It is a great way to meet other members of your faith community and a satisfying way to be involved, so please participate in any way you can. See below the many ways our members volunteer.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us.

  • Blessings

The congregation looks forward to receiving blessings for their birthdays and wedding anniversaries.

  • altar flowers

Altar flowers are provided weekly by the parishioners through a local florist. Forms for donations are sent at the first of the year and provided in the December, January and February newsletters. You may call the office or email if you are interested in dates available; you may want to reserve your dedication as soon as possible as dates can fill quickly. A maximum of two families can sponsor flowers for any Sunday except Easter and Christmas, when we invite unlimited dedications. Flowers are not used on the altar during Lent and we use greenery only during Advent so those weeks are not available. Names of givers and of those honored, remembered or celebrated are printed in the weekly service bulletins.

We would like to thank Jim and the staff of Windsor's Florist for the beautiful arrangements delivered every week.
